"Bruce Keevil and Dad used to check grade all the tobacco together
and one day whilst working side by side Bruce asked Dad to read an article in
the Rhodesian Farmer about an assisted settlement scheme in Mkushi,
in what was then Northern Rhodesia, Bruce said that my parents would never make
any money working for anyone else and this would be a golden opportunity for us
to get started. Dad's reply was that we had no money to even think about it,
the reply from Bruce was beg borrow or steal but TRY."
The rest is, as they say History, Dad got the money, and we moved to Mkushi, here are some photos that I've scanned from small black and white photos that Mum has in her treasure chest!!
